Villarreal CF and New Hera Interconnection have concluded the club’s first ever camp in Kenya, held from 28 July to 1 August 2026 at Don Bosco Utume, Nairobi. Both organisations agree on the assessment: the camp exceeded the objectives set for it, in participation, in sporting level and in the response of the local football community.
The five-day programme was open to boys and girls from U8 to U19 and was delivered entirely by UEFA-licensed Villarreal CF coaches, working under the club’s own methodology.
A Methodology Transferred, Not Just Demonstrated
One of the distinguishing features of this camp was that it was not designed solely for players. A limited number of places were reserved for Kenyan coaches to work alongside the Villarreal CF staff and gain a first-hand understanding of how the club’s methodology is built and applied on the pitch.
That decision is deliberate and central to how New Hera Interconnection works: a camp ends, but a coach who has absorbed an elite methodology continues to apply it with every group that passes through their hands.
A Real Pathway to Spain
As announced at launch, two players from the camp have been selected to take part in a Villarreal CF tournament in Spain — a concrete competitive opportunity within the structure of a LaLiga club, and the kind of outcome that turns a training week into a genuine development pathway.

What Comes Next
The volume of applications received and the level shown throughout the week have led both organisations to begin work on the next actions in Africa. Demand has clearly outstripped the capacity of a single camp.
